Павла Томикова

Pavla Tomicová graduated from the Secondary School of Education. Then she was accepted by DAMU in Prague to study puppetry and her teaching career was replaced by acting. During her studies, she began working with the Drak Puppet Theater, where she got her first permanent engagement and worked for ten seasons. Soon after, Vladimír Morávek offered her a guest position at the Klicper Theater, where her role as Mrs. Milada Kotrlé became so successful that the following season she became a permanent member of the Klicper Theater ensemble. She was nominated for the Thalia Award for her role as Arkadina in The Seagull, and in 2000 she won the Alfréd Radok Award for the leading role of Mařka in Morávek's adaptation of Marysa. She was also nominated for the same prize for her portrayal of Štěpa in Petrol Lamps. In addition to the Klicper Theater productions, she also graced the stages of Vinohrady Theater and Dejvice Theater.
